Awright, people, let's get this straight.

I've made my views on Paul Mirecki's ID course pretty clear over the past few days, and I still believe there is a place for the loyal Evangelical opposition in these discussions about how ID should be presented. However, apparently we need to make a few things clear to our brethren.

When you disagree with someone, DO take them out to a mutually acceptable meeting place (a fine eatery or pub), purchase food and/or drink for them (because the way to the hearts of adversaries is through their stomachs), and engage them in discussion over the hearty meal/beverages. And learn well.

When you disagree with someone, DO NOT beat them up.

This type of neanderthal aggression is how so many people see Christianity, and when they want to pack in their religious faith in the face of crap like this, I have a hard time blaming them.

(And someone will read that story and say "Mirecki is making this up to make himself look more persecuted." Hey, I don't care. If I didn't know this element was out there and willing to go to the aggro to make their "point", then this post wouldn't be worth writing - but it bears saying, loudly and in words of one syllable, that THIS CRAP DOES NOT WORK. IT MAKES US LOOK BAD. STOP, NOW.)
